WOODLAND
GRANTS
Woodland Stewardship has been officially approved by
Forestry Commission Wales as an agent planner to prepare management plans on
behalf of owners throughout Wales under the new "Better Woodlands for Wales"
(BWW) grant scheme. This means that we can provide owners with assistance in securing
grant-aid for forestry operations on their property including the preparation of
the management plan itself (at no cost to the owner!) thus ensuring the sustainability of the woodland
resource into the 21st century.
Only Forestry Commission approved agent planners, such as those employed by
Woodland Stewardship, can prepare management plans on behalf of woodland owners
and secure the grant aid available for preparing plans under the BWW scheme.
Grants are available
for new planting. There are also Woodland Improvement Grants (WIGs) available
for a whole range of forestry operations
